APPLICATION & GUIDELINES
Coldwell Banker Select Properties is offering the 3rd Annual Valerie Young Memorial Scholarship, to be awarded to TWO qualified candidates. For those who didn't know Valerie, she was a local real estate agent serving both West Virginia & Ohio for many years. Unfortunately, on August 2, 2022, Valerie passed away after a long battle with cancer. Valerie loved her community and enjoyed working with many charities in the area. This scholarship has been created to honor her memory.

Coldwell Banker Select Properties will be awarding $2,000 to the first place recipient, and $1,000 to the runner up recipient. You can find the application and scholarship guidelines by tapping the button above.

The application deadline is 11:59pm on May 1, 2025 and the recipient will be announced on May 14, 2025.

April 10, 2024 | Vienna, West Virginia | Aizelyn Stroehman & Emma Snyder receive their scholarship awards.

(2024) 2nd Annual Valerie Young Memorial Scholarship Winners - Aizelyn Stroehman & Emma Snyder

Aizelyn Stroehman took home the first-place prize of $2,000 & Emma Snyder won runner-up for $1,000. Aizelyn currently attends Parkersburg South High School and plans to attend Glenville State University. Emma is a senior at Fort Frye High School and will be attending either Kent State University or Ohio State University in the Fall of 2024.

Both winners had outstanding achievements & earned these awards through hard work and dedication.

Coldwell Banker Select Properties was honored to have Jim Young and Blaine Ritchie present the 1st Annual Valerie Young Memorial Scholarship to Clara Pettit from Warren High School.

Clara stood out as an outstanding student and a leader in many different organizations. At the time of the award, she was planning to attend Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts to further her education.
